With its Beta Lab Site Nokia is making an interesting step. At the beta Lab Site collect beta aps that you can download for free. I think it is an interesting “Goolge Way” they are walking here. Test applications - or product features as they would call it at google - on the marktet, see how they are liked and used and than follow the lead of the user.
Beta Channel is a site that contains software and services, which are experimental in nature, in the testing phase, and not released for commercial distribution. Our intention is to provide you with an opportunity to evaluate the software and services and to collect your feedback.
So old school companies begin to pick up the ideas of how to innovate using new growing structures in user and consumer behaviour. I think its great and i am looking forward to see more of this at other companies.
